My period is 9 days late and I can't sleep because I'm so worried about it. I just want it to come. When I told Bryan he said "Well, we should start looking for a place then." It caught me off guard because I was expecting something like "fuck, that sucks," which would have been my reaction. I responded with "What... no. Not at all. Seriously. There are too many things that I want to do and too many places that I want to see." In the end we both agreed that my period will eventually come and everything will be great. I've been late before...just never 9 days late. My grandfather isn't doing so well and I have a lot do for school so I have had a lot more stress over the past couple of months... it's probably just that. Right?

I need to travel around the world before I even think of having a baby. I'm only 27... I have plenty of time.

I seriously need to check my livejournal more! I got my first anonymous douchebag comment and almost didn't see it! It was kind of exciting.

I've had the sickies for the past week... I'm just now starting to feel better. It really sucked up Bryan's birthday weekend, because I wanted to take him to Dave & Buster's but I didn't feel up to it. Instead we took a drive to Pikesville Saturday night at 11 to find Passover Coca-Cola. Bryan's friend told him about it and since Bryan is a coke fiend he just had to try it.  We tried a couple of places in Forest Hill and Bel Air first but turned up nothing. Bryan started to get discouraged so I asked him "If you were a jewish soda where would you be?" He said he didn't know, because he was pouting... and I said Pikesville, duh. So we drove all the way out to Pikesville, stopped at the first Giant we saw and guess what... tons and tons of Passover coca-cola... that we found out later doesn't really taste that different from regular coke. But we always have a lot of fun on late night drives so it was totally worth it.

I can't believe CM Punk got drafted to Smackdown. I did not pay $200 for ring side RAW tickets to not see CM Punk...seriously. He better be making a special appearance on RAW when they are in DC in June. Sometimes I wish I didn't love wrestling as much as I did... I want to go back years ago when I told Bryan he was retarded for watching it all the time... before I became addicted... and fell in love with all the cute boys.

Belcourt Castle

Apr. 9th, 2009 | 03:30 am

On tonight's new episode of Ghost Hunters they investigated Belcourt Castle in Newport, Rhode Island. It was neat because Bryan and I went there about five years ago. Usually we see something on Ghost Hunters so we go there... it's nice to have already been there. However, out of the hundreds of haunted places we have been Belcourt is probably my least favorite. I can't find any pictures from when we went there, so that makes me think it's one of those places that won't allow you to take pictures, which automatically makes me hate the place. I never want to go back to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Ohio for that reason. It sucks not being able to take pictures.

Also, if anyone saw the episode they talk about the two salt chairs in the room with the suits of armor. When we went there they would not let anyone sit in those chairs- they even had them roped off. They said their insurance wouldn't permit it because whenever anyone sits in them they get pushed out of the seat. Kris, Amy, Dave Tango, and Steve were all seen sitting in them! Jerks.

Mar. 21st, 2009 | 08:34 am

I haven't posted here in a while so when I woke up super early this morning I figured I should change that! Anyways... I love school. It keeps me busy. I actually really enjoy all of my classes since I have so much time to really get into them, instead of having to balance work and school. I don't think I am ever going to have a job where I have to work outside of my house ever again. I do miss the video store though. I miss my regulars the most.

Guess who is going to be 27 in 7 days?! I wish it wasn't me, but it is. I freaking hate getting old... like seriously. Bryan did plan an awesome weekend trip for us next weekend to celebrate though. We are going to spend Friday and Saturday night at the Omni Hotel in Philadelphia. We have reservations to do the Eastern State Tour at 4 on Saturday, and then at 7:30 we are doing the Philadelphia ghost tour. It's weird that we haven't done either of those things yet... so we're both really excited. We are also going to Ben Franklin's grave, the liberty bell, Mutter museum, the Betsy Ross house, and hopefully ride the duck boat thing. We both agreed to stay away from South Street. It's always so busy when we go... I'd rather just stay away from the crowds. We are true old and nerdies now. We only like ghosts and history.... Oh, and Bryan wants to run up the Rocky steps...

I went out last night and bought a bunch of new clothes to wear for the trip, too. I don't know why we go to White Marsh on Friday nights because all we end up doing is hating teenagers and there need to crowd up the place.

We are suppose to meet one of our friends for a birthday lunch today but Bryan has the sickies (runny nose, and grossness) so I don't know if we'll go or not. He is currently laying in bed singing to himself. He is so cute when he's helpless.

Since it was so nice this morning when Bryan and I woke up we decided to head down to West by god Virginia! We've been wanting to go Harper's Ferry for a while and I'm glad we finally did. It was really neat. I also really like staying in brand new hotel rooms with super fast internet. Pictures coming soon!

Of course on the way down here we found a million other places we want to take weekend trips to soon.

snow day

Jan. 29th, 2009 | 03:21 am

i love snow days more than anything! bryan didn't have to go to work...so everyone in my family was home all day. we were all really lazy too. my dad even paid one of our neighbor's little boys $30 to shovel the driveway because he didn't feel like going out to do it which is so weird for my dad.

i still have my fingers crossed for another snow day tomorrow but i don't think it's going to happen. not that it matters much for me really since i don't have a job where i leave my house and all of my classes are online until my back and knee gets straightened out. but still, it's fun when others get off of work/school.

nothing ever really happens anymore.

I plan on getting a whole lot of crap done this weekend. I have to...seriously. I am so behind on the wash and cleaning from my backache it's crazy. Bryan has shows tonight and tomorrow night so he won't get home until way late so I have no excuse. I love my boyfriend for being in three bands! I love the time alone to get shit done.

January 26th is our 8 and a half year anniversary!

backache day 12??

Jan. 21st, 2009 | 04:36 pm

so my back isn't really been getting any better. i've started doing stretches and crap that i have found on the internet that are suppose to help. i go back to the doctor next week with the intentions of starting physical therapy on my effed up knee. i an move around and function like a semi-normal person (ie- i can wipe my own butt...haha)... i quit my job at the video store though because i didn't want to have to call out for the next month or so. i've been thinking about quitting for a while because i have really been wanting to go to work for my dad because it would be way more money and if i need off for school or vacation or just because i wasn't feeling well i could just walk (or waddle, which is what i have been doing the past 12 days according to my dad) upstairs and tell him i wasn't coming in instead of calling people to work for me. i hate having to call to find people to work for me. i felt so bad that mrs. joan had to work for me the first two days i was out that i had bryan stop and get her a $25 giftcard to michael's. she deserves it though, she always works for me when i need her to. i just figured it would be nice since she loves cross-stitching and stuff.

my first book came in that i ordered for my top 100 novels list- "The Magnificent Ambersons." I have honestly never heard of it. Hopefully it's good.

i miss going out and doing things.

So far this year I have read three books none of which are on my 101 in 1001 list.

I have also decided to read the 100 best novels according to Random House, because a lot of the books on the BBC list were weird and not available at any HCPL branch.

  here's the list )
I am going to read them in reverse order.

...and I had to order the first one. It was only like $6 including shipping through half.com though.

backache day 5

Jan. 13th, 2009 | 05:41 pm

My mom went with me to the doctor's today so I could get my back checked out. Before I left I made a little timeline of my knee pain (which started like two years ago) because I knew that it had something to do with my back. I told myself that when I saw my doctor I was going to tell her that I just wanted to get everything fixed as soon as possible since I had put off my knee tendinitis for so long. But of course she ended up just giving me a two week supply of some kind of tendinitis/ anti-inflammatory medicine and told me if it was better in two weeks to come back. I asked her if I could get x-rays done and she said we should wait to see if the pills worked. I was bummed. I cried a little. My mom said eventually everything will be perfect. So I guess I have to make the best of it for right now. I don't have to go to work any this week. I'll just lay around and stay as comfy as possible. I always feel like a lazy butt when I use my laptop in bed but I decided right now it's ok.

Bryan has band practice tonight so I have my whole bed to myself for the next four hours!

tendinitis should really be spelled tendonitis.

day 3 of my backache

Jan. 11th, 2009 | 05:51 pm
location: my living room
music: qvc on the tv

I don't know what is going on with my back, but it isn't getting any better. This morning I took my first poop since it started Thursday night and really couldn't wipe that well.... gross, right? And of course no one was home to help me. It's so fucked up.

At the beginning of every week I list all the things I want to accomplish that week on a dry erase board so I can check them off as I get them done. I guess yesterday it fell or something because this morning I got up and half of it was erased. The next time I saw it someone (Bryan) had tried to fill in the erased parts with what he thought they had said. Most of what he wrote were just squiggly lines, no letters. I would laugh but I'm sure it would hurt my back more.
